We are the Villa de Las Rosas Children's and Youth Choir and Orchestra, a locally rooted artistic and musical experience where children and young people from the town and surrounding area connect with themselves and their peers through music.
We prioritize collective musical practice from the very beginning of learning, with a playful and supportive approach.
We approach music and sounds as channels for expression, connection, enjoyment, and healthy development.
We are a space for integration, sociocultural inclusion, and high-quality artistic and musical development.
Here, every child or young person in the community—regardless of economic resources—can access instrumental lessons, singing, choir classes, and a weekly ensemble rehearsal.
Since its inception in 2019, over 300 children and young people from various towns and villages in the region have participated in our Choir and Orchestra, eventually forming a stable group of 50 members.
The Choir and Orchestra is part of the workshop program offered at the Villa de las Rosas Public Library.
In the current context of the decline of public cultural and artistic spaces and the reduction of resources for the sector, we are joining the creative and mutual support movement by creating the Friends of the Choir and Orchestra Club to support and fund this initiative with financial contributions from the entire community, as well as organizations, foundations, and individuals who wish to participate.
