We are the Villa de Las Rosas Children's and Youth Choir and Orchestra, a locally rooted artistic and musical experience in which children and young people from the town and surrounding area discover themselves and their peers through music.
We prioritize collective musical practice from the beginning of learning with a playful and supportive approach.
We approach music and sounds as channels of expression, encounter, enjoyment, and healthy development.
We are a space for sociocultural integration and inclusion, and for quality musical artistic development.
Here, every child or young person in the community—with or without financial resources—can access instrumental, singing, and choir classes, as well as weekly ensemble practice.
Since its inception in 2019, to this day, children and young people have participated in our Choir and Orchestra More than 300 girls, boys, and young people from different towns and places in the region, forming a permanent group of 50 members.
The Choir and Orchestra is part of the workshops offered at the Villa de las Rosas Public Library.
In the current context of the depletion of public cultural and artistic spaces and the withdrawal of resources for the sector, we join in the creative and mutually supportive outlets by creating the Choir and Orchestra Friends Club to support and finance this space with the financial contributions of the entire community and organizations, foundations, and individuals who wish to join.
